  • Your baby is practicing inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid which is critical in developing the air sacs of the lungs.
  • Your baby can sense light, even though his/her eyelids are still fused shut.
  • Your baby will squirm if touched from outside the belly.
  • Your baby's eyelids will tighten if anything touches them.
  • Your baby's neck is elongating so that the chin can now lift off the chest.
  • Your baby is about 4 inches long.
